Meet the Catamount Instruction Team!

  • Mary Beth Morrisseau

    A trainer in her previous employment life, Mary Beth knew she wanted to teach pickleball. In October 2023 she attended the PPR Professional Pickleball Registry center in Massachusetts (the official education and certification partner of USA pickleball).

    Since then she has been teaching in both Vermont and Florida, as well as playing in an advanced 4.0-4.5 league and in tournament play.

    Mary Beth is a member of USA Pickleball, PPR, the Senior Pickleball Association, the Commons Club in Bonita Springs, and Catamount Pickleball in South Burlington Vermont.

  • Justin Schaaf

    Born and raised VT local, Justin received his PPR certification in August of 2023 in Greenwich, CT after playing for 4 years.

    Justin is a proud member of UMICH’s Michigan Pickleball Club, where he competed in the DUPR Collegiate Nationals in its first inaugural year.

    Justin enjoys introducing new players to the sport, and working with intermediate players to polish their skills and mid-game decision making

  • Chris Tudor

    Chris is a 30+ year South Burlington resident and comes from a long tennis and USTA background.

    He has played pickleball for 8 years and instructed for 5. He is a PPR Certified Coach trained by Pro Sarah Ansboury.

    Chris has instructed many players through local Recreation and Parks Departments such as Burlington, SOBU, Stowe, and Essex Junction in recent years.

  • Lisa Hadley

    Lisa was a competitive tennis player for over 35 years and was introduced to pickleball in California in 2016.

    She played many tournaments in California and Arizona at the 4.5 level and became a certified IPTPA instructor in 2017.

    Before moving back to Vermont last year she was the Director of Pickleball at Deep Canyon Tennis Club in Palm Desert, CA.

  • Karan Samtani

    A data analyst with an analytical mind in his day job, Karan fell in love with the game of pickleball and it's strategic side immediately. A passion for the game has brought him from a complete newbie to all racket sports to competing in pickleball tournaments at the 4.0-4.5 level in less than 8 months.

    He has been teaching pickleball strategy and running coordinated drill sessions in the local area and has a passion for teaching pickleball nuances and strategy.
